So first of all, I’ve committed blogger’s sin…It’s been over a month since my last post. I have a bunch of good excuses as to why but I’m choosing to set those aside for use at a later time.
Instead of a silly, meaningless post – I want to share something deeper. The following is an excerpt from a weekly e-devotional from Steve Roll and Restoration Ministries called A Word For Your Week. If you don’t already subscribe, I suggest you do!

A Way Where There Is No Way
“And your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it” whenever you turn to the right or the left.” Isaiah 30:21
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
“…Finding God’s way for me when there seems to be no way is never easy, but very necessary. I am learning three things as to how God can make a way where there seems to be no way to me.
First, God knows what I don’t know. He knows the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end. Our time and God’s perfect plan for our lives are in His hands, not mine. He knows what He is doing when I don’t know what He is doing or why He is doing it. I need to trust that God’s knowledge of my life is more complete than mine.
Second, God sees what I don’t see. God sees the big picture for my life. His vision is not blurred as mine is. He sees everything that I need to grow in faith and become more and more mature in Christ. He knows bends in the road are not the end of the road. God sees around the corners of life’s challenges and transitions. I need to trust Him completely as I walk by faith and not by sight.
Third, God does what I can’t do. He opens doors I can’t open and shuts doors I don’t want to shut. He breaks through for me when I am breaking down. He intervenes when I need intervention. God delivers, guides and provides when I am unable or even unwilling sometimes to take the way He has determined is best for me. I need to let God be God, get out of His way, and let Him do His thing for me.
When you don’t know the way, but need to know the way, do these things.
* Be honest and tell God you don’t know the way. He can handle your uncertainty.
* Pray and ask God to show you the way. Father, I need direction today.
* Listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit.
* Be patient and wait on the Lord for the way.
* Ask God to make clear the first step to take in the new way. Baby step #1.
* Share with a trustworthy, mature Christian the way you believe God would have you take. Seek their counsel, affirmation and agreement.
* Act on the steps God has laid out before you to walk in His way. Do what He has directed you to do.
* Thank God and praise Him for revealing His way for you.”
